Referral Marketing is an excellent way to get referrals for your business. This article will go over a referral marketing outline and give you a strategy for getting more referrals in your business.
For this situation we will look at a yearly calendar and setup a referral marketing campaign that will be used every month. We will be using holidays as a “theme” of our referral marketing.
January – January has New Year’s which is a great time to share personal information and this personal information, your personality, can go into your referral marketing.
February – Valentine’s Day. You can definitely have a valentine’s day referral marketing campaign based on this holiday.
March – St. Patrick’s day. There is also the NCAA Basketball Tournament which a lot of people watch and you can theme your referral program around the basketball tournament.
April – Spring really starts coming around in a lot of states at least in the United States. You can definitely have a “spring theme” and use this as a referral marketing campaign.
May – Indianapolis 500 Race, School gets out! – Memorial Day
June – School is out, summer is in full bloom, Memorial Day,
July – Independence Day – Summer / Fireworks
August – Back to school, the dog days of summer
September – Autumn is right around the corner, Labor Day
October – Halloween, Fall
November – Thanksgiving
December – Christmas and the other Holidays.
We’ve discussed this before, but holidays are a great way to enter the mind of the person with whom you are communicating with via media. Why is it so powerful? Everyone is thinking and talking about these things. So, if you approach people with these theme regarding referrals, they are more likely to think about this and be open to it.
This is called, “Entering the prospect’s mind.” You are going to him or her with something that is on his or her mind.
