Here are questions you should be asking yourself to get referrals.
#1) What are the reasons why you don’t get referrals now?
#2) Do you deserve get business referrals from your clients?
#3) What pro-active steps do you take to get referrals?
For #1 I’d start writing a list. If you don’t know the objections that people have to giving you referrals here are some starters.
A) Sometimes people are shy and feel like they are being ‘intrusive” when asked to give a referral.
B) Sometimes people claim they don’t know anyone when asked “who do you know”
You can also ask other people why they don’t give referrals. Lastly, ask yourself why YOU don’t give referrals to other people when they ask. That is a great way to figure out how to begin your referral marketing strategy.
