Yesterday we talked about how getting referrals is a matter of telling good stories, and creating an experience. Today I want to share with you two specific types of stories you need to tell in your referral marketing.
What are these two stories?
1) You must tell stories of people who you have successfully helped. Show great examples of successful clients, successful customers, and how you have helped them. Show and tell these as much as possible.
2) Show and tell stories about clients who have referred you to other clients and how they were able to help these people by referring them, and how you thanked this person.
Make these stories interesting, exciting, and fun! Tell these stories often. Tell them so that people know them. A story is so powerful because the message comes across and you don’t have to tell someone directly what you want them to do, they just “get it” if the story is told correctly.
